Dispatcher

Our client, a fast-growing, technology-driven logistics company, is seeking a Dispatcher to join their operations team in Langley, BC. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys coordinating drivers, solving problems in real time, and ensuring exceptional delivery service. This is a permanent opportunity! Fully on-site role.

Compensation

• $65,000 – 80,000 base salary (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and coordinate drivers to meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs)
• Manage 150–200 daily local deliveries across BC
• Assign and optimize daily routes for efficiency and on-time performance
• Monitor live deliveries and proactively resolve delays or service issues
• Communicate with drivers and customers via phone, email, and chat
• Support and manage a fleet of 20–40+ drivers
• Collaborate with operations teams to prevent delivery failures and manage escalations
• Maintain strong driver relationships to support engagement and retention
• Optimize asset utilization and contribute to cost efficiency

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of dispatch, logistics, or transportation experience
• Experience managing high-volume, local delivery operations (courier/cartage preferred)
• Strong understanding of routing, fleet coordination, and delivery timelines
• Prior exposure to trucking or fleet operations (HOS knowledge is an asset)
• Ability to manage 20–40+ drivers in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong multitasking ability with attention to detail under pressure
• Proficient with dispatch systems and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
• Flexible to work rotating shifts within extended operating hours
