Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the implementation and enhancement of ICT systems within a public sector healthcare environment. This fully remote role will focus on process improvement, data migration, system implementation, and stakeholder engagement to support high-impact initiatives, including patient safety and critical incident reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities for ICT system implementations and upgrades
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements
- Conduct business process mapping and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Support data mapping and migration activities, including handling sensitive patient or client information
- Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful system delivery
- Develop test strategies, test scripts, and execute quality assurance and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Create training materials and deliver end-user training post-implementation
- Support implementation of patient safety and critical incident reporting solutions
- Utilize tools such as Smartsheet to support project tracking and coordination
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field
- Valid Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Business Analyst role supporting implementation or upgrades of ICT systems in the public sector
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business process mapping focused on cost reduction and operational efficiency
- Minimum 4 years’ experience mapping and migrating data containing sensitive patient or client information
- Minimum 1 year of experience using Smartsheet in a project environment
- Minimum 7 years’ experience developing training materials and delivering end-user training following system implementations
- Minimum 5 years’ experience performing quality assurance and testing, including test planning, script development, and execution
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting projects related to patient safety and critical incident reporting solutions in a healthcare setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with complex ICT systems and infrastructure
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong documentation and process mapping expertise
- Knowledge of data privacy and handling sensitive information
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Criminal background check is required
